Helpful tips in setting up your listing:
What category should I pick?
- Speakers: Use this category if you're giving a talk of any sort or powerpoint presentation.
- Services: this is for fitness classes, massage, nutrition consulting, etc...
- Workshops and Events: We think of workshops as something hands on, often using a consumable Experience Kit that you send out to participants or that they will need to gather themselves. Choose this if attendees will create something (like an art class or a cooking class) or if it's more interactive (like team trivia or wine tasting)
- On-Demand Videos: This is for internal purposes only, to show our gartenTV platform. If you'd like to submit a video for gartenTV, please fill out this form.
- Downloads: Do you have a digital resource that employers or employees might value? One pagers, recipe cards, eBooks, etc... all go here. Please keep branding to a minimum on these so it is not viewed as promotion or advertisement.
- Freebies: If you offer something for free, list it here; keep in mind that we have a non-solicitation agreement with our clients. You will not be allowed to gather information on employees or contact them after the event.
- Add ons: For things that are not in and of themselves events, but that can be added on to an event, like live music, food, snack packs, or experience kits.
Here are some guidelines for our audience and what we see sells the best:
- Have a variety of pictures for your talks - the eye buys! If you go to the garten Experience marketplace you will notice for yourself what kind of pictures work best. These can be pictures of yourself or a representation of what you will be speaking on. Just make sure they are pictures that you own and have a right to publish. You can find usable royalty free images on Unsplash.
- Have a snazzy (but short!) title.
- Have a complete profile filled out- buyers use this to decide if you're the provider they are looking for! Please include a picture of yourself - very important for client assurance.
- Videos of you speaking or preforming your event or service make a huge difference in your bookings. If you have a high quality video, add it!
- Setting your pricing: there is a fine line between going too low (perceived value) and too high (working within a corporation's budget for the year). We see the best sales land somewhere in the $300-750 range for a lunch & learn. You can do a search for offerings similar to yours to see where your pricing lands. Keep in mind, location also makes a difference in pricing.
- Presentation Length: Try to keep it to 45-60 mins. There is not a lot of client interest for anything longer. If your content is longer than 90 mins, consider breaking it into a series. You will need to fill out one listing for each part of the series.
