Here are some guidelines for our audience and what we see sells the best:
- Have a variety of pictures for your talks - the eye buys! If you go to the marketplace you will notice for yourself what kind of pictures work best. These can be pictures of yourself or a representation of what you will be speaking on. Just make sure they are pictures that you own and have a right to publish. You can find usable royalty free images on Unsplash.
- Have a snazzy (but short!) title.
- Keep your bio and descriptions short and sweet - leave them wanting more! People generally only read the first 3-4 lines, and after that they drop.
- You are representing yourself as a garten speaker; no branding or solicitation for your own business please.
- Setting your pricing: there is a fine line between going too low (perceived value) and too high (working within a corporation's budget for the year). We see the best sales land somewhere in the $500-750 range for a lunch & learn.
- Presentation Length: Try to keep it to 45-60 mins. There is not a lot of client interest for anything longer. If your content is longer than 90 mins, consider breaking it into a series. You will need to fill out one speaker form for each part of the series.
