We have a self-service marketplace. This means that our clients can book you directly off the marketplace for their next on-site massage event. If you are new to putting your services on a booking platform, here is detailed guidance to help make the experience as smooth as possible.
If you have already gone through our ID verification check, please do so here (very easy and quick). We added this feature so that both you and anyone who uses the platform can feel secure in knowing that anyone on this platform has been verified is who they say they are.
Then, you will need to do two things:
First, set up your profile on the marketplace (experiences.garten.co) - using the sign up button:
You will need to verify your email address (sometimes this ends up in spam, coming from noreply@garten.co) and then go back in to fill in the rest of the details on your profile. This helps clients get to know you better before they book you.
Keep in mind, this is how a client will decide to book you, so please give them the information they need to feel comfortable doing that. The more information you can give about your education, experience, certifications, etc., the better! Please include a professional picture as well.
Second, once your profile has been approved, you will need to set up a listing for your massage services. Start by clicking the teal button next to your icon in the upper right of the home page.
Here are a few pro-tips for this:
SET UP: Here is the selection path for a massage listing. Category > Services, Subcategory > Massage & Bodywork, Listing Type > Per hour pricing (important!)
TITLE: keep it basic and searchable: Chair Massage by Gizelle, or 15 Minute Chair Massage Sessions, or Chair Massage + Aromatherapy. Clients will be searching for the term Chair Massage mostly.
PRICING: The price per hour should account for everything. If you want to charge extra for things like aromatherapy, that would need to be a separate listing.
We have a "no tipping" agreement with our clients, so asking for or accepting tips or setting out a tip jar is not allowed. Things like parking and travel are usually a tax deduction for independent contractors and should not be included in the price of the massage.
There is no charge for you setting up your profile or creating as many listings as you would like. However, Welnys does take a 30% commission on bookings, so keep that in mind when setting your pricing. For instance, if you would like to make $60/hr you will want to set your price at $86, which will be $60.20 paid out to you.
DESCRIPTION: keep it short but containing all the info they need. Here is a basic sample (feel free to copy and paste if it suites your needs!):
Bring relaxation and stress relief to your employees through chair massage. A minimum of 3 hours must be booked with a maximum of 8 hours per day.
When booking, please specify your desired session length:
- 10 minutes = 6 people per hour
- 15 minutes = 4 people per hour (most popular)
- 20 minutes - 3 people per hour (recommended)
When calculating how many massages you will need to book, please bear in mind the therapist will need to take breaks as follows:
- 3- 4.5 hours: one 10-15 minute break
- 4.5-6 hours: one 30 minute break
- over 6- 8 hours: one 60 minute break
THE DETAILS - Provider's Education and Experience can be skipped as that will show up in detail through your profile. Any boxes in this area left blank will not show up on your listing.
-
check the boxes that apply so you show up in searches by these categories
-
duration of event: here you can put your minimum and maximum hours if you like.
-
equipment buyer needs to provide: you can put NA here or the space requirements you will need or access to electrical outlets, restroom, that sort of thing
-
equipment vendor supplies: you can listing things like sanitary face cradle coverings, hand sanitizer, music or aromatherapy is offered, etc.
-
videos linked: if you are a provider on gartenTV we can link your content here (if are not a gartenTV content creator, ask me about it!), if you put your own video link here it must be free of branding or solicitation. This is meant to be an intro to you and a sneak peek at the experience. You can leave this blank if you prefer.
-
Location - you can only pinpoint one location, so put the city that you would like to work in the most. You can list all the locations you would go to in the description area as well. You can also put the state if you prefer to work in a larger area, however keep in mind you would not be reimbursed for travel costs incurred.
-
Image - please include a picture - remember "the eye buys". You must own the rights to any picture posted or you can download free images from sources like unsplash.com. Your logo is fine as long as it does not contain your website or contact information.
-
Please keep in mind, we are a "no solicitation" platform as outlined in our Terms of Service, which you are required to agree to when completing your profile.
I know this is a lot, so feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Thank you!
